FCSO Investigators Make Arrests In Air-conditioner Theft

SUBJECT:Henry Eli Davis, Jr., age 39, of 1811 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on June 18, 2014 and charged with Injury to Real Property to Obtain Non-ferrous Metals  (S.C. Code Section 16-11-523(B)) and Transportation of Stolen Non-ferrous Metals (S.C. Code Section 16-17-680(G)(5)).   See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.

SUBJECT: Traeqwan Wilson, age 20, of 509 Dixie Street, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on June 18, 2014 and charged with Injury to Real Property to Obtain Non-ferrous Metals (S.C. Code Section 16-11-523(B)) and Transportation or Possession of Stolen Non-ferrous Metals (S.C. Code Section 16-17-680(G)(5)).  See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.

NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Henry Eli Davis, Jr. and Traeqwan Wilson on June 18, 2014 and charged them with Injury to Real Property to Obtain Non-ferrous Metals and Transportation or Possession of Stolen Non-ferrous Metals.  According to Investigators, Davis and Wilson were found to be in possession of two stolen air-conditioner units taken from 3430 T.V. Road in Florence County following a traffic stop.  It was later determined that the exterior of the units and the electrical boxes were damaged as well.  A third suspect, a juvenile was released into the custody of parents.  

Under South Carolina law, Injury to Real Property to Obtain Non-ferrous Metals is a felony punishable by a fine or up to 10 years in prison, or both.  In addition, Transportation and/or Possession of Stolen Non-ferrous Metals is a felony punishable by a fine or up to 10 years in prison, or both.  

Davis is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center on a $7500.00 surety bond.  Wilson is being held on a $2000.00 surety bond.
