BEGINNING MIDNIGHT, TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2009 FLORENCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WILL BE UPGRADING THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AT THE FLORENCE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER. THIS UPGRADE WILL ENHANCE THE OPERATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES OF THE DETENTION CENTER. DURING THE PROCESS HOWEVER, VISITATION WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM 10:00 AM TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2009 UNTIL 10:00 AM FRIDAY, JUNE 5, 2009. NO MONEY WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR DEPOSIT IN INMATE ACCOUNTS DURING THIS PERIOD. IN ADDITION, THE BOOKINGS/RELEASES LINK TO THE FLORENCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WEBSITE MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ACCCESSIBLE DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS. THIS MAY TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO COMPLETE. WE REGRET ANY INCOVENIENCE TO THE PUBLIC DURING THIS PROCESS AND ASK FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND PATIENCE. WE WILL RESTORE ALL SERVICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

FCSO Applies for Edward Byrne Memorial Grant
Florence County Sheriff's Office is applying for the Edward Byrne Memorial Grant (JAG) Local Solicitation CDFA: # 16.804 through the Department of Justice Programs at the US Dept. of Justice. The Grant will be used to purchase Law Enforcement Equipment. The Grant Application will be available for public viewing at the FCSO Law Enforcement Complex; please contact Vickie Floyd at (843) 665-2121 for an appointment.
