NARRATIVE: On December 14, 2019 at approximately 1:29 AM on Ingram Street in Florence, SC, FCSO Deputies assigned to the Pro-Active Community Enforcement Team (PACE) initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. The vehicle initially stopped on the shoulder of the road on Lawson Street, but as the officer approached the vehicle it sped off and thereafter led the officer on a pursuit through a residential neighborhood. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped on West Marion Street where the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as Brandon Dominique Fludd. Inside the vehicle in plain view deputies noticed on the driver floorboard and arm rest an off white rock like substance believed to be crack cocaine. A further search of the vehicle revealed approximately 8.9 grams of what is believed to be crack cocaine, a box of clear sandwich baggies and a digital scale with white powder residue consistent with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics. In addition, a quantity of U.S. currency was also seized. Fludd was charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Light and Distribution of Crack Cocaine (Second Offense).
