FCSO ARRESTS SUSPECTS IN TIMMONSVILLE SHOOTING INCIDENT


SUBJECT: Ty’Quan Lamont Reed, age 21, of 717 South Parker Drive, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested on July 1, 2019 by FCSO Investigators and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029), Discharging a Firearm Into a Vehicle (while occupied)(S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(B)), and Discharging a Firearm Into a Dwelling (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(A)). SUBJECT: Derrick Jameel Hunt, age 26, of 427 North Orange Street, Timmonsville, SC 29161 was arrested on July 2, 2019 by FCSO Investigators and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029), Discharging a Firearm Into a Vehicle (while occupied)(S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(B)), and Discharging a Firearm Into a Dwelling (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(A)). SUBJECT: Timothy Leverne Martin, age 24, of 1007 North Ham Road, Timmonsville, SC 29161was arrested on July 2, 2019 by FCSO Investigators and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029), Discharging a Firearm Into a Vehicle (while occupied)(S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(B)), and Discharging a Firearm Into a Dwelling (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-440(A)). NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have arrested three suspects in connection with the June 30, 2019 shooting of a Timmonsville man on Honda Way near Timmonsville, SC. Deputies responded to the location at approximately 10:00 AM following a call of a shooting with a victim. According to Investigators, Ty’Quan Lamont Reed, Timothy Laverne

Martin and Derrick Jameel Hunt are alleged to have shot multiple times into a vehicle occupied by the victim resulting in a gunshot wound and necessitating medical treatment at an area hospital. After the shooting, all three suspects fled the scene. Investigators further allege that rounds from the suspects’ firearms struck a nearby residence. The victim has since been released from the hospital.

All three suspects will be held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional charges and/or arrests are possible.
