FCSO NEEDS YOUR HELP IN IDENTIFYING A SUSPECT IN VEHICLE THEFT


Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office need your help in identifying a suspect in a vehicle theft. On Saturday, June 1, 2019 at approximately 3:30 PM, the suspect broke into the service area of a car dealership located at 3704 East Palmetto Street, Florence, SC and stole a new 2019 silver Kia Sorento. A Florence County Sheriff’s deputy in the area shortly after the theft occurred spotted the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect led the deputy on a pursuit into Darlington County. Ultimately, the pursuit was called off.

The subject, whose image was captured on the dealership’s video surveillance camera is attached. The suspect appears to be a white male with blond or reddish blond hair and a beard or goatee, and appears to be wearing blue and white plaid shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Deputies also believe that this suspect may be associated with a black in color late model 5.0 liter Mustang with dark rims.
