FCSO ASSISTS COWARD POLICE IN FORGERY INVESTIGATION
SUBJECT: Carl Edwards McFadden, Jr., age 59 of 318 Wilmont, Street, Lake City, SC 29560 was arrested and charged by Coward Police Department on November 1, 2018 with four (4) counts of Forgery/Value Less Than $10,000.00 (S.C. NARRATIVE: Coward Police Department has charged Carl Edwards McFadden, Jr. with four counts of Forgery. McFadden was arrested on November 1, 2018 following an investigation which began on October 25, 2018. According to the arrest warrants, between October 7 and 10, 2018, McFadden is alleged to have forged or counterfeited four (4) checks totaling approximately $1477.00 through a convenience store located on U.S. Highway 52 in Coward, SC.
Florence County Sheriff’s Office assisted Coward Police Department in the investigation and in McFadden’s arrest. McFadden is being held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing before a Florence County Magistrate.
