STABBINGS AT BARTELL LANDING
Florence County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of an incident involving multiple stabbings at Bartell Landing near Johnsonville, SC at approximately 6:00 PM yesterday. According to deputies, four victims were transported from the scene to area hospitals for medical treatment, one of whom has died. The incident allegedly followed a verbal altercation. The deceased victim has been identified by Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken as 31 year old Clint Poston of Pamplico, SC.
According to Investigators, a suspect subsequently commandeered a golf cart operated by an off-duty FCSO deputy who was forced at knife point to drive the suspect from the scene. A short distance away from the incident scene the deputy managed to escape unharmed.
Because of the involvement of an off-duty Florence County Sheriff’s Office deputy in the incident, Sheriff Kenney Boone has asked SLED to take over the investigation. Please forward any further inquiries regarding this matter to SLED.
