MURDER SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
Justin Marquise Pringle, age 19, of 1875 North Old Georgetown Road, Scranton, SC, the last suspect wanted in connection with the Christmas Eve murder of a Lake City man, is now in custody at the Florence County Detention Center in Effingham, SC. FCSO Investigators have charged Pringle and four others with the December 24, 2017 murder of 74 year old Johnny Cameron at Cameron’s home located on Old Georgetown Road, Lake City, SC.
Pringle was taken into custody in Columbus, Ohio by the Columbus Police Department SWAT team on January 12, 2018. Florence County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force (for the District of South Carolina) and the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team participated in the apprehension.
Pringle will appear before a Circuit Court judge for consideration of a bond sometime in the future. In the interim, bond has been denied.
