SUSPECT WANTED IN CARVER CIRCLE MURDER IN CUSTODY
On 110117, Members of the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task Force, Operation Intercept Florence District, working in conjunction with Florence County Sheriff's Office Investigators, the U.S. Marshall's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Officers from the Rincon Police Dept. in Rincon Georgia apprehended Damon Alexander WILLIAMSON, Jr. Arrest warrants were issued for WILLIAMSON in Florence County on 100317 for the following offenses related to a shooting incident which occurred on 092217 at 1121 Carver Circle, Apt. B in Florence:
WEAPONS/DISCHARGING INTO A DWELLING - SC Code 16-23-0440
ASSAULT/ATTEMPTED MURDER - SC Code 16-03-0029
MURDER - SC Code 16-03-0010
Florence County Investigators allege that WILLIAMSON intentionally discharged a firearm into an occupied dwelling at 1121 Carver Circle, Apt. B on 100317. Several people were inside at the time of the shooting. One Victim, Islam Bonner, died as a result of his injuries. WILLIAMSON is currently being held in Georgia and will be extradited back to Florence County at a later date for Arraignment and a Bond Hearing.
Sheriff Kenney Boone thanks the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force members (Operation Intercept-Florence District and Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force) as well as the Rincon Police Department for their efforts and assistance in the location and apprehension of WILLIAMSON.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional charges and/or arrests are possible.
