Herbert McDowell III, age 23, of 843 N. Green Road in the Lake City area of Florence County was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office earlier today. McDowell was charged with Murder (S.C. Code Section 16-03-0010) - see FCSO Booking Website or APP for additional details.
Florence County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 843 N. Green Rd. on Saturday October 21, 2017 at approximately 11 :30 pm in regards to a shooting incident with (2) reported Victims. Once on scene, two Victims were located with gunshot wounds and were transported for medical treatment where one Victim succumbed to his injuries.
During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that McDowell and the Victim, Edourdo Graham, age 43, also of Lake City were engaged in an argument when the shooting took place, resulting in the death of Graham.
McDowell will make an initial appearance before a Florence County Magistrate and will likely appear before a Circuit Court Judge for a Bond Hearing on the Murder charge.
