FCSO OBTAINS ARREST WARRANTS FOR SHOOTING SUSPECT


Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have obtained arrest warrants for the suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Lake City, SC on Sunday, October 15, 2017. According to Investigators, Erick Raquim McCrea, age 19, of 304 Ash Street, Lake City, SC is alleged to have shot the victims while driving or riding in a vehicle on Salters Street in Lake City. McCrea is charged with two counts of Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029).

On October 15, 2017 FCSO Deputies responded to Salters Street in Lake City at approximately 4:00 PM in reference to a shooting. Two victims had been transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Witnesses informed law enforcement that a number of individuals were playing dice on Salters Street when shots were fired from an approaching vehicle.

McCrea is described as a black male, 19 years of age, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 155 pounds. McCrea should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
