FCSO ARRESTS TWO BURGLARY SUSPECTS FOLLOWING MANHUNT


SUBJECT: Cardell Devonce Woodberry, age 23, of 466 East Johnsonville Highway 378 Hannah, Johnsonville, SC 29555 was arrested by deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on September 26, 2017 and charged with one count of Burglary, Second Degree (Non-violent)(S.C. SUBJECT: Dameyune Jaheen White, age 19, of 506 East Johnsonville Highway 378 Hannah, Johnsonville, SC 29555 was arrested by deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’ Office on September 26, 2017 and charged with one count of Burglary, Second Degree (Non-violent)(S.C. NARRATIVE: On September 26, 2017 a Deputy with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm call at a residence on Antique Circle in Florence, SC. Upon arrival, deputy noticed that the residence had been entered and that two suspects were fleeing on foot into a nearby wooded area. After the deputy secured the premises, the FCSO K-9 Tracking Team, assisted by the FCSO Aviation Unit and Raptor I initiated a manhunt in the area of Francis Marion Road and Red Doe Road. Both suspects were later apprehended by the Tracking Team.

Investigators have charged Dameyune Jaheen White and Cardell Devonce Woodberry each with one count of Burglary, Second Degree (Non-Violent). According to the arrest warrants, White and Woodberry are alleged to have entered the residence without consent of the owner, and while inside removed property belonging to the owner.

“Thanks to the prompt response to this alarm call, our patrol deputy arrived on scene as the suspects were fleeing,” Sheriff Kenney Boone stated. “Both were later apprehended safely and taken into custody by our K-9 Tracking Team and Aviation Unit. Congratulations to all of them for a job well done.”

White and Woodberry are each being held at the Florence County Detention Center on $10,000.00 surety bonds.
