MAJOR DRUG CONSPIRACY BUSTED


SUSPECT: Archie Lee McCullough, Jr., age 33, of 9145 Thurgood Marshall Highway, Andrews, SC was arrested on August 30, 2017 by Investigators with the FBI Violent Crime Task Force and charged with Federal Drug Conspiracy, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Crack Cocaine and the Use of a Firearm in a Drug Trafficking Crime. NARRATIVE: As a result of an investigation which has been ongoing for over 6 months, Archie Lee McCullough, Jr. of Andrews, SC was arrested on August 30, 2017 by members of the FBI Violent Crime Task force which is comprised of agents with the FBI, Narcotics Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Investigators, at the time of his arrest, McCullough was found to be in possession of a substantial quantity of heroin. Investigators later obtained a search warrant for McCullough’s residence which revealed more than one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of crystal methamphetamine, approximately half a kilogram of heroin, a handgun, money counter and other items commonly used to facilitate the repackaging and selling of illicit narcotics (see attached photograph).

Investigators estimate the street value of the Methamphetamine seized is $80,000.00 and the heroin at approximately $40,000.00. McCullough is considered by the by the Task Force to be a significant drug dealer in the Pee Dee area. McCullough is being held at the Florence County Sheriff’s Office pending his initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge.
