FCSO CELEBRATES NATIONAL NIGHT OUT


Florence County Sheriff’s Office will host the annual National Night Out (NNO) celebration on August 1, 2017 at the Leatherman Senior Center located at Freedom Florence. The doors will open at 4:00 PM and the program will beginning at 6:00 PM. National Night Out is an annual community-building event which promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood cooperation to make our neighborhoods a more safe and caring places to live.

According to the National Association Towne Watch (www.natw.org) on the first Tuesday of August each year “millions of neighborhoods take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states.” Activities typically include safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much more. We are honored this year to have as a guest speaker Chief Mark A. Keel of the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

This year’s FCSO event will also include free hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and soft drinks. FCSO will present special recognition awards to Florence area youth and adults who are making a difference in their communities. Door prizes will also be given away.
