FCSO MAKES ARRESTS IN WEEKEND ATTACK
SUBJECT: Donald Dewey Yates, III, age 19, of 627 Dunwoody Road, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on June 3, 2017 and charged with one count of Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029) and one count of Burglary, first degree (S.C. Code Ann. 16-11-311). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
SUBJECT: Sara Elizabeth Bullard, age 19, of 7329 Springside Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on June 3, 2017 and charged with one count of Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony (S.C. Code Ann. 16-01-040). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Donald Dewey Yates, III on June 3, 2017 and charged him with one count of Attempted Murder and one count of Burglary. According to Investigators, on or about June 3, 2017 Yates is alleged to have broken in to a residence on Dunwoody Road, Florence, SC. Investigators further allege that upon entering the residence Yates attempted to kill an occupant of the residence with a baseball bat. The victim received injuries requiring medical treatment at an area hospital following the alleged attack. Sara Elizabeth Bullard was also arrested by Investigators on June 3, 2017 and was charged with Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony. Investigators allege that Bullard aided Yates in the commission of the burglary and attempted murder.
Bullard and Yates are being held at the Florence County Detention Center. Bond for Bullard has been set at $8000.00 (surety bond). Bond for Yates was denied.
