FCSO TAKES MURDER SUSPECT INTO CUSTODY
Florence County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have taken Michael Joe Smith, who has been charged with the February 1, 2017 murder of Malcolm Kindred “Kenny” Kemmerlin, into custody. Smith was arrested without incident in Myrtle Beach on February 3, 2017 in Myrtle Beach, SC and brought to the Florence County Detention Center where he is being held until a bond hearing can be scheduled before a circuit court judge.
FCSO wishes to express its appreciation to the Horry County Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Florence for its assistance in apprehending Smith.
