FCSO MAKES ARRESTS IN DARLINGTON STREET SHOOTING INCIDENT
SUBJECT: Shyheim Taleke Smith, age 22 of 1320 Dixie Street, Unit 3, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on January 25, 2017 and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-3-029). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
SUBJECT: Gerry Famic Humbert, age 20, of 2116 North Tobin Drive, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on January 25, 2017 and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-3-029). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects in connection with the January 17, 2017 shooting on Darlington Street, Florence, SC. According to Investigators, while driving in an easterly direction on Darlington Street, Shykeim Taleke Smith and Gerry Famic Humbert are alleged to have pulled up beside the victim’s vehicle and fired multiple rounds from a 9mm handgun at the victim. Subsequently, the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds which at this time are not believed to be life threatening. Smith and Humbert are being held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
