FCSO ARRESTS SUSPECT IN OLANTA MANHUNT
SUBJECT: Tyis McSween Rose, age 33, of 220 West Hampton Street, Olanta, SC was arrested on January 24, 2017 by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Domestic Violence, Second Degree (S.C. Code Ann. 16-25-020(C) ). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.
NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tyis McSween Rose yesterday in connection with a domestic violence incident which occurred on January 23, 2017. According to Investigators, Rose is alleged to have physically assaulted a woman with who he cohabitated on West Hampton Street in Olanta, SC following a verbal altercation. By the time deputies arrived at the scene, Rose had fled and a manhunt in the area ensued. The search for Rose in the Olanta area was suspended when credible information was received that he had fled the area and was likely out of the county. Rose was taken into custody at approximately 6:00 PM yesterday.
Rose is being held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing before a Florence County Magistrate.
