NARRATIVE:Investigators with Narcotics Division of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the FCSO Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement Unit  (PACE) conducted a prostitution sting at an area motel located near US Highway 52 and Interstate 95 on January 16, 2014.  The operation was conducted in consultation with motel owners following complaints of prostitution in the area which was being facilitated by the use of an internet website on which prostitutes are known to advertise their services. An undercover female FCSO deputy posing as a prostitute on the website was contacted by individuals seeking sexual services and agreed to meet at an area motel.  Thomas Bateman, Timothy Tyler and Cornelius James were arrested by Investigators at the motel after they agreed to exchange money for sex acts.
