FCSO MAKES ARREST IN HOMICIDE CASE



SUBJECT:    Briheem Anthony Williams, age 20, of 2616 Old Sansbury Road, Timmonsville, SC was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on October 13, 2016 and charged with one count of Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-3-10 ) and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-490).  See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.    

NARRATIVE:    Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Briheem Anthony Williams, age 20, of Timmonsville, SC and charged him with the murder of 18 year old Bobby Junior Evans.  Evans’ family members had reported Evans missing on October 3, 2016 and in a FCSO Press Release on that date, Investigators requested the assistance of the public in locating Evans who had reportedly last been seen on or about September 15, 2016.  

On October 10, 2016 FCSO Investigators and the Florence County Coroner’s Office responded to the discovery of human remains near Victor White Road near Timmonsville, SC.  Florence County Coroner Keith VonLutcken ordered a forensic autopsy which confirmed the remains to be Evans.  The autopsy further listed the cause of death to be a gunshot to the head.  

Investigators allege that on or about September 24, 2016 Williams shot and killed Evans at or near Victor White Road where the body was discovered. Williams is being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing before a Circuit Court judge.  

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
