MANHUNT SUSPECT APPREHENDED

SUBJECT: John Brady Dennis, age 30, of 409 East Suena Drive, Florence, SC was arrested by Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Kidnapping (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-910 ), two counts of Burglary, Second Degree (S.C. Code Ann. 16-11-312) and Domestic Violence (S.C. Code Ann. 16-25-020(A)). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.

NARRATIVE: Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the FCSO Tracking Team, Patrol Canine Team and Raptor I apprehended John Brady Dennis earlier today after a manhunt in the area of Church Street and Rico Drive in Florence, SC. Dennis had earlier been spotted by deputies who were attempting to serve arrest warrants on him fleeing into a heavily wooded area shortly after noon today on Suena Drive. He was located and taken into custody around 4:00 PM.

Dennis is charged with kidnapping, two counts of burglary and domestic violence. According to Investigators, on or about June 12, 2015 Dennis is alleged to have unlawfully entered a dwelling through a window in the night time on S. Wallace Road, Florence, SC, assaulted a victim inside the dwelling and removed a child without the consent of the legal guardian. Investigators further allege that on or about September 10, 2015 Dennis entered a dwelling without permission during the daytime on Edsel Road, Florence, SC.

Dennis was transported to the Florence County Detention Center where he will be held pending a bond hearing. After Dennis was apprehended a member of the FCSO Tracking Team had to be taken from the scene by EMS for severe dehydration and is being treated at an area hospital.
