FCSO INVESTIGATES SHOOTING

Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a shooting incident on July 19, 2016 which occurred in the 1400 block of N. Bethel Road, Scranton, SC at approximately 8:00 PM. According to deputies, two victims were found to have been shot at or near a soy bean field. The victims were taken to an area hospital by EMS for treatment of gunshot wounds.

The victims are believed to have been the occupants of a red in color 2016 Jeep Compass which was located and recovered at the scene. The vehicle appears to have been rented outside Atlanta, Georgia. No additional information is available on the condition of the victims at this time. As more information is available, this report will be supplemented.
