FCSO ISSUES MURDER CHARGES
SUBJECT: Royal Daniel Williams, III, age 29, of 200 Powers Street, Bennettsville, SC, 29512-3922 was charged with Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-010, 020) by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on March 2, 2016.
NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have obtained an arrest warrant for Royal Daniel Williams, III, of Bennettsville, SC for the murder of Sherilyn Jear Joseph on January 23, 2016 at Century Drive in Florence, SC. According to Investigators, Williams is alleged to have shot the victim inside her apartment shortly after she returned home from work.
Williams is currently incarcerated in a state corrections facility after recently being sentenced in an unrelated charge in another county.
