FCSO ARRESTS TWO IN LAKE CITY ROBBERY

SUBJECT: Demetrius E addy, age 19, of 839 Moulds Road, Lake City, SC 29560 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on February 15, 2016 and charged with two counts of Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-029) and one count of Attempted Strong Armed Robbery (S.C. Code Ann. 16-11-330(B)). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.

SUBJECT: Ahmad Rasheek Nesbitt, age 17, of 318 Talmadge Road, Lake City, SC 29560 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on February 16, 2016 and charged with two counts of Attempted Murder (S.C Code Ann. 16-03-029) and one count of Attempted Strong Armed Robbery (S.C. Code Ann. 16-11-330(B)). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.

NARRATIVE: On Friday, February 12, 2016 at approximately 7:30 PM, deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an armed robbery at 909 Salters Street, Lake City, SC. Upon arrival, deputies met with two victims who indicated that they were robbed while walking along Salters Street by three subjects, one of whom pulled out a gun and demanded money while placing the gun to the head of one of the victims. The victims further allege that while attempting to flee on foot, the subjects chased the victims and fired several shots at them.

Investigators have charged Ahmed Rasheek Nesbitt and Demetrius Eaddy with two counts of attempted murder and one count each of Attempted Strong Armed Robbery. Nesbitt and Eaddy remain at the Florence County Detention Center. Bond for Eaddy was set at $30,000.00 (surety). Bond for Nesbitt was denied.

Investigators have also issued arrest warrants for Patrick Jackson of 833 Sherwood Street, Lake City, SC 29560 in connection with this incident. Anyone with knowledge or information regarding the whereabouts of Jackson is asked to contact
