FCSO MAKES HEROIN AND CRACK ARREST

SUBJECT: Gregory Leon Marshall, age 23, of 144 Beauregard, Street, Lake City, SC 29560 was arrested by Narcotics Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on November 23, 2015 and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Distribute (S. C. Ann. 44-53-375 (B)(1)) and Trafficking in Heroin (S.C. Ann. 44-53-370(e)(3)). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.

NARRATIVE: Following a lengthy investigation, on November 23, 2015 specially trained narcotics investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the FCSO Aviation Division, executed a search warrant at 124 North Kim Road near East Palmetto Street. Investigators discovered approximately 516 bindles of heroin (14 grams or more), approximately 3.1 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 3.4 grams of marijuana, a firearm and a quantity of U.S. Currency. Other items believed to be stolen property were also found at the location and are the subject of further investigation. Investigators charged Gregory Leon Marshall with Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Distribute and Trafficking in Heroin.

Marshall was released from the Florence County Detention Center on November 24, 2015 on $5000.00 surety bonds on each charge.

Heroin use and trafficking continues to be a growing problem in the Unites States and locally. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are possible.
