FCSO AND DCSO HOST 11TH ANNUAL OPERATION STRIKE FORCE


Beginning on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 07:00 hours the 11th Annual Operation Strike Force began with 24/7 focused enforcement on the Interstate highways in Florence and Darlington Counties by some of the best Criminal Enforcement Officers from around the state.

Approximately 150 officers from 24 state, local and federal agencies participated in the Operation which ended at 00:00 hours on Friday, May 1, 2015. Over the course of the week, the Operation issued over 1542 citations or warnings, searched 223 vehicles and made 70 criminal cases including 10 felony arrests. 7 illegal weapons were seized. In addition, the Operation netted over 7.5 pounds of high grade marijuana, with an estimated street value of $168,050.00, 2.3 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $130,125.00, 2.7 pounds of heroin with an estimated street value of $500,000.00.

3 fugitives were apprehended and $276,261.00 in drug related U.S. currency was seized. In addition, a tractor trailer containing an illegal after-market compartment capable of secreting contraband is the subject of a seizure warrant by DEA.
