Florence County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jimmy Joshua Lee of Scranton, SC, his brother Michael Lee of Turbeville, SC and Brandon Hamlin earlier today.  Jimmy Joshua Lee and Michael Lee are charged with numerous criminal offenses arising out of a series of incidents which ultimately led deputies on a manhunt in a wooded area off North Old Georgetown Road with the use of tracking dogs. Brandon Hamlin is charged with Misprison of a Felony.

At approximately 5:30 AM today, deputies responded to an E-911 call of a break-in in progress at a residence on Union School Road near Coward.  The victim reported two suspects in the yard who fled after lights in the house were turned on. 

At approximately 6:00 AM another E-911call from Shawn Road near Scranton was received indicating that two masked gunmen attempted to enter the residence by way of a window, and later fled when met by the homeowner.  

At approximately 6:15 AM E-911 received another call indicating that a break-in of a vehicle on Creek Road was in progress.  When deputies arrived at the location, the suspects fled into nearby woods on foot. With the use of tracking dogs, deputies apprehended Jimmy Joshua Lee off North Old Georgetown Road.  Deputies later apprehended Michael Dean Lee at his residence.  Two rifles and clothing believed to have been used in the attempted robberies were also recovered.  The third suspect, Brandon Hamlin was apprehended later this afternoon with the assistance of a resident on Creek Road. 

At the time of this Press Release all three subjects were being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
