Comprised of four highly trained and effective individuals, the Florence County Sheriff's Office Forensic/Crime Scene Unit is in charge of the collection, processing and storage of evidence as part of criminal and narcotics investigations. They are also called upon to testify in court as necessary.  The Forensic Unit is often the primary and only means of identifying   unknown suspects.

The Forensic Unit is Supervised by Lt. Keith Lutcken. Ext 317.  The forensic/crime scene unit consist of the following officers: Lt. Lutcken, Andrew Clendenin, Adam Moore, and Paul Bird. Larry Quick is responsible for the Sheriff's Office Evidence Room.
