 The backbone of the Florence County Sheriff's Office, as with any law enforcement agency, is the Patrol Division. They are assigned to enforce local and state laws and county ordinances related to public safety and welfare. The patrol division also performs a wide variety of public service safety and security functions. Being the first to arrive at most crime or accident scenes, the Patrol Deputy must possess the knowledge and sense to handle whatever situation he or she may encounter. The Patrol Division is supervised by Captain
