Thanks for your comments, J'HAMA. Hopefully by now you have found our "OffenderWatch" addition
and have used it to answer any concerns you had regrading sex offenders. Not only did Sheriff Boone find the
money for "OffenderWatch" in a lean budget year, but he was also the first Sheriff to sign the S.C
Atty. General's agreement to aggressively to arrest and prosecute those who prey on children using the
internet, but Sheriff Boone was one of the first in this state to initiate a physical validation of sex
offender info program. All info provided by sex offenders like address, workplace, etc.. to the our agency is
personally validated by an FCSO investigator who makes home and work checks of sex offenders. |

Carisa, your suggestion of listing "deadbeat dads" on this website is a good one. Individuals who
are woefully behind on child support usually have an outstanding bench warrant for their arrest. Since the
bench warrant is public information (like the booking info and mugshots featured herein), adding them to this
site is a natural extension of our "Most Wanted" section. |

Boone's top priorities. I am also glad you have used the "OffenderWatch" program we have added
to this website. Using "OffenderWatch", anyone can log-on and enter info which can reveal the
locations of all registered sex offenders in Florence County. Additionally, you can sign up for instant e-mail
notification should an offender move to within a distance (as defined by you in the program) of your home,
business or school. |

tranquility. A person charged with this offense can face a fine of $500.00 or less and/or 30 days in jail. |

i think the overall website is good however why can't there be a section for deadbeat dads and a section
to add updates to their locations that would help the county and custodial parents alot. If you nedd pics of
them you already have half of them because most of themn have already been locked up! |

Why have you not posted any comments lately? It appears the police all over the U.S. are being ridiculed for
prosecuting youthful offenders for far more than is necessary. It amazes me when I listen to the news now that
it is almost like what FCSO is all about. Not much thought for FCSO, just a lot of scare tactics and no
concern for being able to settle things outside of an arrest. Afterall, what difference does it make to you if
you ruin someone's reputation. I have called five times to try to talk to someone at FSCO, but no one
ever returns a call. As long as your office collects a fine from citizens, it doesn't matter to you
whether you do the right thing or not. Zero tolerance is not a thinking man's game, and apparently your
investigative office just arrests anyone as long as there is a fine involved. Why doesn't someone there
step up to the plate and answer me. Ya'll are amazing. Sure this won't be posted, but maybe you can
use the e-mail address if you can figure it out. |

Prior to 1985, burglary was strictly a common law offense and had many different meanings to include
“housebreaking”. Subsequent to 1985, the S.C. legislature changed the code section regarding burglary to
16-11-311 (burg 1), 16-11-312 (burg.2 violent and non-violent) and 16-11-313 (burg. 3). These changes clearly
defined residence from building and also did away with the “breaking and entering” language to “entering
without consent. These codified changes brought uniformity in the elements for each burglary offense and
punishment, whereas prior to 1985, housebreaking was very broadly interpreted and often hard to distinguish
from burglary.

Great job with the site! To all those complaining about the mug shoots...my loved ones have been on here and
i appreciate the pics. I want everyone to see that there was enough evidence to arrest the suspects. And as a
small business owner, I know, by the pics, if some one comes in and has been arrested. |

Just because they are not on the sex offenders list, that does not mean they are not one. Sometimes the
crimes that they do leads into what gives them a edge. If one my sons decide to commit a crime they are not
no better than nobody else and should not be treated different. For being in the wrong place or with the
wrong person. Watch the company you keep, do not be an label to eho they are. |

To respond to 'unique' in Lake City, if you're concerned about your childrens safety, there is
a seperate page with pictures and addresses of sexual offenders. A percentage of people who are arrested are
in the wrong place at the wrong time. I, personally, don't feel that the police do an AWESOME job in
Florence County. They seem to pick on people and abuse their authority in a lot of situations. One day, you
may be looking at a picture of you or your children on this site.. let's see how wonderful you think it
is then. |
