|MISSING CHILD FROM FLORENCE COUNTY LOCATED|
Juanita Renea Cochran, wanted by Florence County for Custodial Interference of a Family Court Proceeding (S.C. Code Section 16-17-495(A)(2)) was apprehended last night by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office in Lumberton, NC. In addition, Kyron Lamont Cochran, her 18 month old child, who is the subject of the custody proceeding, previously listed as “missing,” has also been recovered safe and sound. Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office had issued a warrant for Cochran’s arrest alleging that she had removed the child from the state to avoid custody proceedings pending in Florence County.
At the time of this Press Release, it was not known if Cochran will waive extradition back to Florence County. Upon information and belief, a family court judge in Robeson County has ordered that Kyron’s biological father be granted temporary custody pending a final determination of custody in Florence County. As additional information is available, this Press Release will be supplemented.
