Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, with cooperation from the Coward Police Department arrested three suspects on multiple drug offenses following a 3 month undercover operation in the Coward area.  The investigation followed numerous complaints from local residents and the Coward Police Department of drug activity in the area. 

The investigation is ongoing and there is the possibility for additional charges and arrests.

SUBJECT:          Steven Welch, age 35, of 745 ½ Friendfield Road, Coward, SC 29530 was arrested on October 16, 2009 and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance (S.C. Code Section 44-53-0370 (g)(1)).  See Booking website for additional details.
